Instructor Profile:

David Crawford, 60yo (yes, officially old) Joined Rhee Taekwondo, May 2003, which makes me the longest continuous member in the Gippsland Region. Previously trained with Bukido Karate from 1992 to 1994, prior to starting a family. In May 2003, I signed up my then 7yo & 9yo daughters up to train & thought, “Well, why not? Yeah, I’ll give this a go”. So at age 39 I started training, working my way up through the ranks, obtaining 1st Dan March 2008, 2nd Dan March 2016, & 3rd Dan June 2021. I currently instruct at Rosedale Dojang and I’m the assistant instructor at Traralgon Dojang under Mark Martin. I also instruct the Traralgon PeeRhee class. My own personal training has slowed down a bit over the last couple of years due to the body carrying a few injuries, but “I’m still doing ok for an old bloke”. Still loving training and the many life-long friendships I have made within the club. I also take great pleasure in seeing students I have trained gain confidence and progress through the ranks themselves, learning the Art of Self Defence.
