Hi, my name is Jeff Watsford and I have been appointed Branch Instructor (Sabum) for Rhee International Taekwondo, Mirboo North. I am 3rd dan (3rd degree black belt) under (World) Master Chong Hyup Rhee, 7th dan, of Melbourne, one of the original ‘Twelve Masters of Taekwondo’, and Senior Regional Instructor (Chong Kwan Jang Nim), Gippsland and Latrobe Valley Region, Mark Martin, 5th dan. I’m here to change your life for a better you.

I am a local Mirboo North resident, having grown up and attended school in this area at Berry’s Creek Primary and Mirboo Nth High School. I am a veteran of the Clearance Diving Branch, Royal Australian Navy and of Victoria Police. Senior Regional Instructor Mark Martin is also originally from Mirboo North. He founded our first Mirboo North dojang way back in 1984 and was my first instructor in the art of taekwondo. I have been practicing taekwondo for over 30 years.

I encourage anyone of any fitness level who would like to try taekwondo to come along and give it a go. The first two lessons are free. Taekwondo training could change your life for the better in many different ways. The benefits of training are numerous and varied, from physical fitness and improved coordination to mental focus and memory enhancement, to improved self discipline, confidence and effective self defence skills.
